Bridgette Sopper Oliva is a Senior Counsel at Kennard Law, P.C. with nearly three decades of experience as an attorney. Her practice is concentrated on labor and employment law representing individuals, as well as business and employment advise to small and large businesses.

Prior to joining Kennard Law, P.C., Ms. Oliva worked for management-side defense firms, and as a solo practitioner representing large and small businesses as well as individual plaintiffs.

At Kennard Law, P.C., Ms. Oliva represents individuals and employers in discrimination matters, wage and hour matters, breach of contract matters, and any other type of legal matter involving wrongful termination or pertaining to the employment relationship. Her practice focuses on cases which arise under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the ADA, the ADAAA, the FLSA, the ADEA, the FMLA, the TCHRA, OSHA retaliation statutes, Sabine Pilot and all other statutory and common law causes of action which involve employer-employee relationships. This includes claims involving trade secrets, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, workers’ compensation retaliation, whistle-blower claims, defamation and others.

At Kennard Law., P.C. Ms. Oliva represents businesses in all areas of employment law including business formation, policy formation and implementation, advise and management training. Ms. Oliva advises corporate clients on compliance and risks and advises clients on internal processes in order to strengthen employment relationships, minimize legal exposure and optimize working conditions. Her corporate work involves developing and drafting employment manuals, employment agreements and general employment forms for corporate clients; training and developing seminars for corporate clients and lecturing Human Resources professionals on

Ms. Oliva received her undergraduate degree at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Ms. Oliva graduated from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law. During law school, she was Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Criminal Law Ms. Oliva is licensed to practice in Texas, The United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, The United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Ms. Oliva is a trained Mediator and Arbitrator.

She was born and raised in Syracuse, New York.
