LISA URESTI is an Associate in the Houston and San Antonio offices of Kennard, Richard & Robinson, P.C. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Uresti worked as an attorney in a South Texas based firm as well as for a non-profit entity.
Ms. Uresti provides individuals with diligent representation and has earned a reputation as a passionate advocate for her clients.
Ms. Uresti helps clients on matters involving the following:
- Fair Labor Standards Act;
- Title VII;
- Americans with Disabilities Act;
- Family Medical Leave Act; and
- Texas Labor Code
Ms. Uresti also offers compliance counseling to small businesses. Ms. Uresti is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and in the State of Wisconsin.
Ms. Uresti is a 2010 graduate of The University of Wisconsin Law School. During law school, Ms. Uresti clerked for Federal Magistrate Judge Diana Saldaña in the Southern District of Texas, The Dane County District Attorney’s Office, and for a civil defense litigation firm representing clients throughout central and south Texas. Additionally, Ms. Uresti was a National Moot Court competitor.
Ms. Uresti earned her BBA in Marketing from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Uresti worked for a corporate financial institution and as a high school teacher in San Antonio, Texas.
Ms. Uresti was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She continues to maintain active with various local volunteer organizations and within the communities of South Texas.
